Dorothy Dyer

Dorothy Dyer is the founder of Cover2Cover Books and the FunDza Literacy Trust, which uses innovative ways to get young South Africans reading for pleasure. A former English teacher who taught at a range of South African high schools, Dorothy has an enduring passion for getting her students to read. Dorothy is also the author of numerous teen novels and textbooks, and has run workshops to test materials and to develop students’ writing. She has a Masters from UCT in Applied Language and Literacy Studies, and has just completed her Masters in Creative Writing, also through UCT.

Nancy Onyango

Nancy Onyango is the operations director for This is Africa (TIA), a Pan African media company that provides media solutions and opportunities, and reveals trendy elements of African urban culture via radio and online platforms. Nancy has extensive experience in public relations, fundraising, new media and developmental work. She has held executive positions while working for various Pan African festival, arts and culture organisations and has networks in Kenya, Netherlands, South Africa and Tanzania. Nancy holds a post graduate certificate in culture from the University of Amsterdam and is currently pursuing her MBA at Business School Netherlands. Originally from Kenya, Nancy is currently based in Cape Town, South Africa.
