Eben Welby-Solomon

Eben Welby-Solomon is the founder and CEO of Social Alpha Impact Investment, a boutique research, investment and advisory firm, specialising in investment in high impact, early stage ventures. He has co-founded several ventures in the renewable energy, technology, healthcare and educational sectors and served on various NPO boards and Trusts. Eben was trained as an accountant and management consultant with Ernst & Young, holds a MBA and is an alumnus of UCT’s Graduate School of Business, and Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He has a love for Africa and is passionate about creating market-orientated solutions to social problems. His research interests include development finance, impact investing, venture capital and development economics  

Joost Bosland

Joost Bosland has been a partner at Stevenson Gallery, Cape Town since 2006. Joost’s qualifications include a BA (summa cum laude) in philosophy of art, art history, and criticism from Duke University, Durham in North Carolina (2006) and a programme on leadership and the arts in New York (2005). Joost is the first point of contact for a number of artists including Robin Rhode, Odili Odita, Meschac Gaba, Pieter Hugo and Nicholas Hlobo. He assisted in the expansion of and continues to manage the art fair program at Stevenson, which in 2012 consisted of Frieze New York, Art Hong Kong, Art Basel, abc (Berlin), Paris Photo, Frieze London and Art Basel Miami Beach.
